One of the principal glories of Naxos is its long beaches with their crystal- clear water and golden sand.  There is a wide choice of beaches, from those which are only sandy and perhaps have cedar trees growing along the shoreline to those which have pebbles mixed in with the sand, from calm and windless coves to more exposed beaches where the north wind makes wind- surfing a thrilling pleasure.
